Woah, I just finished talking to Ivan on the phone and it was amazing.
I mean, man, whooooooooooooooooo
Exhilirating, ever inspiring. Ivan I want to be a replica of youuuu (:

Even though my piano exam is like in 3 days time, I know that God is doing something...
My piano teacher went MIA for 3 whole months and my scales are like nada, so I really need a miracle for that just one half an hour, to PASS, AT LEAST PASS.

Piano aside, and on to Ivan!
It's these little things that define whether a leader is respect-worthy or not and Ivan is definately one of them.
Not neglecting Samantha, Dominic, Charleston, Leonard, Roy, Garrett, Yassy, Chew and the others... it's about the heart.

FRIDAY:

Ignite was... okaaaaaaaay. Got to enter the church early (!) because of deco and cafe. Best Friend also went early because of usher. He's ushering for 3 whole days! Power la he. I'm so proud of him :D Finally caught the fire :D

Did cafe with Melissa. Was supposed to change uniform but didn't ):

Went home and talked talked with best friend.

The angmohs who live below me are scary. Eh, Jacques, Matt and some guy who looks like Mika. They came and talked to Weekiat and I when we were walking home!
They talked about whether we club or smoke or drink and stuff. Then when we went off (told them we got curfew), they kissed us on the cheek (Best Friend included)!

GAH.

SATURDAY:

Went early again. Best Friend and I fell asleep on the bus because we slept super late the night before ):

My day was temporarily spoiled by some girls from another church who made fun of Bellrarie and indirectly dissing our church culture. I can't believe they're Christians. Not saying that I myself is some self-righteous person or summat, but seriously, they're behaving like people in the world. Like, all immature. Pah.

Sad ain't it. Some people just like to adopt the name "Christian". Being a Christian is your lifestyle, not your label. I feel sad for those who just acts Christian in a church but they have unchanged character.

We really need to keep the culture.

For example, Pastors used to clean the toilet when they first started the church. They lay the foundations for us. Now we have BM. When Pastors ask/request something from us, we'll immediately say, "Yes Pastor." Only when we're like in, say, a serious medical checkup or something, we'll offer them solutions or do it for them later.

Others would simply say, "Oh Pastor it's raining." "I'm sorry Pastor I can't. I'm in the middle of studying."

Yet they still make fun of our church when we respond, like "Yes." or "Amen."

Break my heart for what breaks Yours.

` 861; - addicted to You





Hey world. Camp was mindblowing/exhilirating/exciting/awesome. It's amazing to see how the people you're closest to grow to a whole new level. Yes, camp's good. More than good. It's the best camp I've ever had so far. Trust me, the experience you get from this camp is more valuable than those camps of leadership that only teaches you things in the natural. But this not only teaches you the natural, it teaches you how to make things happen in the supernatural.

Parachute Band was superb. They can really pull down the presence of God! B & C Zone got the privilege and stood in the mosh pit which was the nearest to the stage. I was crying and worshipping and just in awe of everything :D

Revival Night was great. Charleston carried the anointing man. I remember standing there and everyone was being prayed for, except for me. And my heart was racing. Why wouldn't anyone come? And I remembered Jesus waited patiently. My heart was not open to him yet. I immersed into the presence and Ivan prayed for me. He told me to lift both my hands and worship, and as I did so, he grasped my hands like how Jesus was cruxified. "Rise Naomi. Grow to a whole new level. A breakthrough. A total character change."

Did QT with B2 and B4 together. Worshipped for 2 and a half hours non-stop. :D OMGOMG. I'm addicted to the presence of God (:

Others can, Naomi cannot.
Others can go clubbing and have promiscuous relationships, but Naomi cannot.
Others can break God's heart, but Naomi cannot and will not.

Funny Incident #1:

Joel: "Weekiat do you have the balls to do it or not. Guts man."
Weekiat: "Yeah I do have them!"
Joel: "Oh yeah? Lemme check." *pounces on Weekiat*
Weekiat: "Hey get off me! I'm not allowed to use them until I get married or something."
Naomi: "... hello I'm like the only girl here."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHHHH.
I couldn't stop laughing! Because what he said was logical but that coming from Weekiat who's like an overgrown child (according to Tingwei).

Funny Incident #2:

We were sleeping in the linkway leading to the alfresco after QT. Joel was sleeping like super soundly and as he did so, his boxers were showing.

Fedora: "Eh Wee can you like pull his shirt down or something."
Weekiat: "Okay."

And he used a slab of cardboard and put it over, and (maybe) Joel thought it was a blanket or something, and he covered his head with the slab.

Funny Incident #3:

I was putting toothpaste on Weekiat and Joel's faces. Joel didn't notice it until he woke up.

Darren: "Eh Weekiat wake up! It's like 10 am and everyone's like doing BM already!"
Weekiat: "Kaidghiqwudghn HUH? Sue the government! Sue the PAP! Sue everything!"
Naomi: "What has the government got to do with anything?"
Weekiat: "Don't know."

Funny Incident #4:

Zhiguo was sleeping in the middle of the audi (those in HOGC know that it's a bad bad move). Elgin and his partners in crime went to smear toothpaste on his face and he still didn't know. Then Elgin went to wear his disgusting Scream mask and scared the living daylights out of Zhiguo.

Super funny la xD
And Charleston got his new Mac.

I am happy (:
I simply can't explain this joy in me.

I MEAN, isn't it AMAZING?
I'm not tired of saying it but I'm saying it again!

HOUGANG SEC IS REVIVAL-ING! (if there is such a word xD)

I'M SO EXCITED!
Because of this and other random but glorious things in life, I was like rambling non-stop about how excited and happy and joyous and exhilarated I am about church, leadership, growing, hunger,zone camp, VBS, and Hougang Sec revival to Weekiat and Edward today on the way to church!

And Ivan said something really powerful today.

F=ma.
Force = mass x acceleration.

We already have the acceleration, we need the mass so we can have the force, the brevity that will impact society and all walks of life!

AMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

Pastor spoke about leadership today.
Had a few revelations and jotted them down. (:
Really, I cannot be STUNTED.
I must grow. The time is now.

I was in church yesterday, for the Schools! meeting with Joanne :D
It was really awe inspiring.
We shouldn't rely on others to bring people, we rely on ourselves and work as a team.
The other Christians are not doing anything, so it's up to us to do something.
A person, a soul.

Just stepping into church totally wiped out all the arguments I had the day before with the Parental Government. I love my church. I really really do. As I walked into the compound with Angelina and Weekiat (we didn't notice Angelina was on the same bus! :O), I felt this sense of relief? wash over me.

Church is an awesome place. Here, the people are so transparent that you know every single thing about them. Not like the real world where people are opaque, hiding behind a facade. Sometimes they are so self-absorbed that they don't like that person and then they crush the spirits of that victim by gossiping, putting them down so that they themselves will feel the glory.

Why don't you just start loving? Don't give me that nonsense that you love the guy or whatever and he broke your heart and that you have to heal it back. That's not called loving, that's being vulnerable. Loving people is just simply accepting them for what they are and not look down on them even though they may have characteristics that really piss you off.

My church is the best place ever. When you turn a corner or just walk up the spiral staircase to the Fussball area, people will smile at you, slap a high-five, say a thing or two to you. That's what my church is all about. Love.

I used to live and revolve my life around the real-world. I used to have this really good girlfriend who would go out with me and such and such, then she ended the relationship :/ but it was a blessing in disguise anyway. I got to spend more time in church, doing ministry and just hanging out with my CG! :D

It was nice knowing you, but I'm glad I moved to this better place. This place where I actually feel loved and accepted, and I can go around loving people who needs love.

Had a really good time worshipping God and praying, Joel finally managed to come. HAHAH.

After that, Weekiat, Joel and I walked all the way to Munchy Donuts. :D We then shared the cost and had 4 donuts a person :O

Bussed home. HAHAHA.
Joel was teasing Weekiat all the way. Hilarious.

I think Pastor How's sermons and God speaking through him never ceases to amaze me. (Pastor Lia, you too!)

Pastor How was talking about Simplicity on Saturday, and it has never been more relevant even though it was "meant" for the Zone G people.

It's true, I'm always sensitive to people. Overly sensitive. Like for example if someone just says something I don't like or doesn't mince his/her words, I'd go emo and stuff. But now I'm secure in God (:

I've always thought of the world as some weird place where people go around faking relationships just for the sake of getting advantages. The adults call it "networking." I remember quite clearly, about a few years ago, I was in my parent's church. I asked an affluent uncle there why he came to church. He said, "to network."

He said that because in that church, there were quite a lot of well-to-do people, some of which are my father's friends. My parents also know the importance of networking, and they urge me to go to RJC or some /atas/ junior college, to network, gain some affluent friends, and possibly, a well-to-do smart husband. (PAH. The only husband I'll get is a strong Christian from HOGC:D)

They were crushed when I was posted to Hougang Sec.

But now Hougang Sec is in a revival (: And I've gained 2 Best Friends along the way too :D

Sorry, I digressed.

The point is, why build fake relationships? Why waste your time to maintain something that isn't real at all? Might as well build something real and enjoy the relationship. Just be simple, keep your heart simple. Be in the world but not of the world.

Pastor Lia is AMAZING.
She preached about "Unlawful Hunger."
Will you (still) continue to be hungry for God even if He is denied to you?
I will be.

She talked about Brother Yun, Liu Zhenying, who is the most influential preacher in the underground churches of China. he is super duper cool. Even if the authorities capture him and everything, he still refuses to deny God and kept on fasting and worshipping. He dwelled on the presence of God alone. I read his biography, and even as the guards put an electric baton which was on to full blast in his mouth, God spared his life! He cried out for God to have mercy on him, and the baton malfunctioned. Isn't that AMAZING?

And he became a Christian at 16, with unquenchable faith.
He prayed for months to get a Bible, and God gave him a vision that he will get a Bible.
And the people who delievered the Bible to him had the exact same voice that they had in his vision!

God satisfies the truly hungry.

I will not just come for service just because of the lights, the music, the friends.
I will come for Him.

God is my Miracle Maker.

OMG it's like super-duper-uber funny can.
So lame!
They made the whole thing into like a Taiwanese Variety Show, and OMGGGGG.



Wendy was Miss Quek Kimchi. Then she was like lipsyncing to "Maria". And, JACKY came out and danced, omfg. All of us were like laughing so hard until out stomach juices want to come out.

And the BEST was OMG.
ROY came out as Liang POPO. OMG I was like O.O
and Sylvia was like, Roy?
Roy was like super convincing can.

OMG.
Jian Ming was Fei Ma. HAHAHAAAAAA

Helped Jieru with the accounts for Cafe, played with Rinnah for a bit (like 2 minutes?) and omgggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

As I was walking to the cafe area, E Zone was having their zone games
and then, Lucinda started to scream my name out loud
And Tingwei was like "Omg."

I tell you, Sylvia and Tingwei are super amazing.
Had many revelations when I was speaking to them...
And Tingwei encouraged me to speak to Samantha
And my fear was broken and I became more cheerful after smsing Samantha.
Gained really good insights into life.

BEFORE THE POST,







HAPPY BIRTHDAY PASTOR HOW! (:

It's those days where you get stuck in the car with your parent(s) and then he/she would start to ask you something, say, how was church, how was school, did you make a new friend etc, and somehow or somewhere, an argument starts to sprout up from a remark or a request or what have you.

For me, mostly because it's a case of 有话就说.

I am not one who likes to hear or say things that appear nice (well, sometimes, maybe I do). I'd prefer to say the simplest things out, without wrapping it in the pretty little package that grownups, or I should say adults, do. For instance, I'd rather my date go, "You've got spinach in your teeth." than saying, "Oh, you've got something..." then giggle, or worse, totally shut up about it, leaving you smiling at the chef and waiter and chauffeur with that offending piece of green in your mouth.

I'm not some high-class, pretentious person that demands everything to be done her way so I can look like someone who can order people about. I'm not saying that everyone owes me a living (while some people think that I owe them one).

What I'm trying to say here is, for the minor things, just say it out, don't need to busy yourself thinking of ways to make it oh-so-nice and pretty when you yourself could get lost in the wrapping.

Just this morning while I was waiting for Daddy infront of the Citibank at Dhoby, when this man appeared out of nowhere.



Cheekopek: "Er... do you speak chinese?"
Naomi: "Mwoeyo?"
Cheekopek: " Ahhh. You don't?"
Naomi: "Isn't it obvious?"
Cheekopek: "OH... okay... I want to say..."
Naomi: *quizzical look*

Then he walked away!
I checked and IT WASN'T DOWN AT ALL.
Then the guy was like there, and he was grinning with this lopsided grin!

Fedora crashed my school today. (:
Then towned with Fedora and Shermaine.



Went to Artfriend. Think ShiHua'll like it there.
WENT TO CHURCH FOR CAFE.
I love Jieru & Stella & Lucinda.
They said my handwriting is NICE(:
Memorized all the prices! YAAAAAY.
Then CG.

I think God prompted me to really really give for Building Fund.
I emptied all my stuff.
If God can make it possible for Samantha, He can for me.
I've been asking God how can I be a leader.
And when today Samantha put up the sermon by Pastor Lia for the Leaders' Meeting,
on HOW TO BE A LEADER.
Voila.
Prayer answered :D

I know I've been filling my blog with crap, so I'll write something relevant.



School atmosphere sucks.
With a sense of foreboding I walk into the school compound everyday.
It's like a nebula, a void
It sucks everything out of you.



Even if you had a happy thing last night
Or something that made you joyful
It leaves you with nothing but despair.



Precious unni & Trish, now you know why I could write about Soo-ri so well in the fanfic. HAHA.



Now I've got Heart of God Church.
Nothing can stop me.








My church is AMAAAAAAZING.

` 704; - with selfless faith

Watched Royston Tan's 881 today with Fedora & Desiree.



It's quite family-friendly, actually, unlike his previous works (15 & 4.30). Really hilarious and saddening at some parts. Generally a well produced local film, which Royston only took 22 days to produce & another 2 weeks to write.

Elaborate set and costumes, and excellent, if not, great acting by the actors. QI YUWU is cutee (:D!) in this movie, esp. carrying that chicken around and hiding his love for Big Papaya (Yeo Yann Yann).

However some parts were REALLY corny, especially the fight between the Papaya & Durian Sisters (May & Choy). They followed Madonna's style of conical bras (ewwww). Liked the durian spikes they had for bikini tops XD. It shoots lasers (green, no kidding.)

Was actually tearing at the end where Little Papaya died. ): At least the plot had direction, unlike EPIC MOVIE.

Service today was OHSOAWESOME.
It's like one of the most... you get what I mean.
& I sat next to this guy I'll call Takuya Kimura
& Tingwei was JEALOUS. HURRHURR

Pastor Lia preached today!

She talked about what defines us.
First factor: Our Friends.

True, I think I've not been showing any godly character lately, as I've been swearing and such, like "What the hell," "Oh my God" and "F**K." Oh goodness, I think I need to wash my mouth out with Dettol.
Since I've been hanging out with Heart of God people, I really need to change my vocabulary from uncouth to civil.
Or not I'll die in Korea.

Second factor: Our Enemies.

Pick interesting enemies, for your enemies define you. - Bono, lead singer of U2

Pastor Lia shared about Bono, and his life.
You don't see Bono going around making trouble with the tabloids and stuff, because he's doing hings to help shape our world. He has made AIDS his enemy. He has made poverty his enemy. This shows that he is a great man because he fights for a great cause.

However, how about us?

Pastor Lia told us to give up on those enemies that waste our time (sounds familliar, no?) and concentrate on the little things. Why let them bother you and make you go on a detour on your highway of success?
